re: One Member of Ave. Q 2009 Tour Cast Announced
 Sep 15 2009, 11:04:31 PM
OK...the girl in the purple is Kerri Brackin. She plays Mrs. T, bear, ensemble and is the kate/lucy understudy. The girl above her is Jackie Grabois...she is playing Kate/Lucy. The guy in front of Brent is Zach Trimmer, he is the male ensemble and cover for rod princeton, nikki trekki, and gary coleman. They are all 3 hairspray tour alum. This is info from them, I'm not making it up lol.

Just to put that one rumor to rest...Hairspray is going out again for a 4th year. Casting for the possible Crybaby tour has not been started, so the rumor about the Hairspray cast moving is completely false. :)

Well thank God for well worded reviews and critiques.
As I told someone else on this board, wishing failure on others is bad for the karma. It is one thing for people to get on these boards and give their reviews and/or critiques. Well worded opinions have no choice but to be respected, whether one agrees or not. Trashing performers and shows is simply disrespectful and childish and I think that everyone who works professionaly is sick of the negativity. Have some respect for performers who

And I'd like to reiterate that all of the music is 100% live. There is nothing prerecored, and I have been in the orchestra pit at every single theater we have played. On some occasions, the drums and percussion are in another room because of the size of their equipment, but there has not been one venue where most if not all of the musicians were in the pit. :)

Hey guys...thanks again for the positive feedback on the show. I figure since I visit the boards I'd provide a little information on the discussion at hand. Disney has everything to do with this show. Big League is producing the show, and MTI of course provides the rights to it, but Disney had the first and last say in everything. They had the final casting choices, and they also attended the rehearsals in New York before the tour went out to approve. They even had to approve small things like t

Hey you guys. Here is the first review from Arkansas that we got. We're having a great time and we appreciate all of the support you guys are giving:)

FAYETTEVILLE — Aida is a love story with heart-felt passion and intense jealousy.

The show’s current national tour made its first stop Tuesday night at the Walton Arts Center. More performances continue through Sunday afternoon, before the cast and crew embark on the rest of their 85-city, sevenmonth tour.

i can confirm this. Casey Elliott is Radames and his understudy is Dan Rosenbaum of the Rent Nat'l tour. Marja Harmon is Aida and Leah Allers is Amneris. All are VERY talented and will not dissapoint on this tour.

the only website right now is:

http://www.bigleague.org/06_aida.htm

Haven't seen sets or costumes. rehearsels begin in a couple of weeks.
I have heard some of the singers and I am so excited to get to work with these people. It will be a first class tour.
People can say what they want about non equity tours but non equity doesn't mean not talented. The people in equity weren't always members and did great work beforehand as well.
this show will be top notch and will do every bit of justice to the score and script as the broadway version.
:)

Yes there is plenty of news depending on who you ask:) It is a non-equity tour that he been redesigned with disney's permission. Similar to what Miss Saigon did when it went on a non-equity tour. but i can assure that the music has not been changed. the cast is super talented and full of fresh faces, and some familiar ones.
I am very proud to be an orchestra member for this tour. I have dates and things but Im not sure what I am at liberty to give out at this time. the tour opens in septe
