He's far too old to play this part. No doubt producers will look past his age as I'm sure he could fill houses. Too bad. I cringe a little when they stunt cast but it's all in the name of money.
Perhaps Charlie Sheen could replace Mr. Cage when he leaves to do his next movie.

Oh, I wondered because I had the pleasure of seeing Ms. Mccormick in Les Miserables here at the Pioneer Theater. Wouldn't you know it I saw her a few years later in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang playing the leading role! She wasn't very good in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, she couldn't reach the high notes but I just loved her in Les Miz.

Doubtful there would be a reality show to cast Dorothy. The Search for Elle Woods and You're the One that I want had abysmal ratings.
Another bad reason for Wizard of Oz is that Wicked would probably steal ticket sales.
