Nice. So you won’t even give her a chance? I hope you’re not an actor. That’s no way to treat someone you haven’t even seen in a role yet.

Oh please don’t start. Have you actually read through this thread?

Does an alternate always have a set schedule?

Ah Nolan LuPone you’re right! I found a bootleg from March 2020 on YouTube where he enters at the bottom with Persephone. I’m thinking of a different entrance in Act 2.

Nolan LuPone said: "I'm pretty sure that Hades enters from a different place during Why We Build The Wall. I thought I remembered him entering from the opening Up-Stage-Right, but when I saw the show on Saturday he entered from the balcony and went down the stairs to the microphone."

I thought that’s how it always was? He brought Eurydice upstairs, he closes the door. Then the workers and Persephone come out on stage, Eurydice enters through the elevator. A

Do you think the longer run time is because of the added rewrites? Or has this show always ran close to 3 hrs?

I couldn’t pass a on a $39 ticket so I grabbed one for a Wednesday matinee in May. I guess my plans to see Beanie’s understudy are in the trash now.. but maybe I’ll luck out.

I’m with you. Know nothing about it. Normally I do not research my shows before I see them but I feel like I might want to for this one. Especially since I think tickets might cost more than usual.

Edit: apparently t

Hadestown on a very thin Budget

I’ve sat pretty much everywhere for Hadestown except the balcony. Mezz is perfect. I’ve sat several times within the first three rows and each time had a great view. I actually would not suggest Mezz Row A because you have to lean a little when they’re at the very front of the stage.

Well. Looks like I’m going to see this just for Ramin with the hopes of Beanie’s understudy is on the day I go.

Aisha Jackson. Loved, loved, loved her as Anna and what the sweetest human being she was at the stage door. I wish I could have seen her one more time as Anna (even if that meant sitting through Frozen again).

Philadelphia's Academy of Music seating..partial view

SeanD- I’ve seen Hadestown a ton via the train. My family wants to see it but not want to go to NYC (I’d prefer it there personally) and DC is too far of a drive for us. We’re going to risk it and try Philly but it might be our last. Normally we go to Hershey but Hadestown isn’t stopping there this tour season.

Thank you! That is helpful. I’ve only been twice and the most recent was 8 years ago. So I really have no idea what I’m buying haha. A view from my seat is helpful but also can be deceiving. I think we’ll go for the boxes.

I know this is thread is SO OLD but I need opinions.

Would partial row z in parquet be ok for Hadestown? Trying to figure out how bad partial view is. Or spend the money to get a parquet box?

So tell me, gentle friends....

SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK musical in development

I wonder if they’re making it a musical because of the dance at the end? That would be silly if that’s the ONLY reason for it to be a musical. Play? Yes, could totally work with a dance number thrown in there. But not a musical.

Once Upon a One More Time

Edit: I found out that Aisha is with Princess Party through December 2021 and a new crew of princesses comes in Feb 2022.

I might be late to the party but I saw Aisha Jackson has joined the Disney/Broadway Princess Party cast. Is she no longer doing Once Upon a One More Time? I don’t know how the Princess Party works- does the entire cast attend every performance or just a handful?
