Did Rebecca Frecknall ever push you in the streets MemorableUsername? The animus has been very pointed and persistent now.
An understudy who may never go on for a role, especially when it's Cliff, clearly the focus would be on finding the most able ensemble member who could also play the part if ever called upon, but I don't tend to read the worst of intentions or lack of care in people actions everytime.

Cliff has primarily been cast as a person of color in this production. There have been people of South Asian descent in London in the role too. It sets up a tension and counterpoint for the Sally-Cliff relationship. But it's obvious that the first instinct is for Cliff to be Black, since that contrast rings strongest that way.

I thought the Sunset performance was such a nothingburger, exactly as it was during the show too. The actual material itself lands without any impact, it's purely about them getting the technical timing right. It barely even relates to/ situates itself among the lyrics.

Jordan, I feel you and I will always differ as far as Sally is concerned (again like you said, not an attack). I remember you found Madeline Brewer to be your favorite from London, and I thought she was the worst person the London production has cast so far, outside of Sid Sagar.
