Mario Cantone: Ricky Martin was very brave to come out. He also kisses Haye
 Apr 11 2010, 11:09:01 AM
In a perfect world everyone would be out, actors wouldn't be typecast and their careers wouldn't suffer but the world ain't perfect. Everyone has their own timeline and as silly as I feel it was for Sean Hayes to ever allude that he may be straight it's his life , he's out now and good for him.

When I see gays fighting amongst each other (or women or African-Americans) I can't help but think 'we're just doing their work for them!'. We finally are making some inroads and all we can do is

Jackie Hoffman look quite good but what's going on around the clevage area? The skin on her arm is being pushed up , it looks strange.
Personal life of a Broadway performer

I'd imagine that the reason actors are singled out is because most of us (definately those who would ask such a question) grew up in a world where people worked 9-5 or worked shifts/night work in a steady job. I know I did and I always wondered how actors had any social life. If you are working in TV/Film you are in make-up at 5am and if you're working on stage you work nights, weekends and your day off is usually Monday. On top of that the show could close or be cancelled at any moment and you
Sending Playbill to be signed from UK
 Mar 30 2010, 06:10:03 PM
If Alice is a consistent signer (I don't know, anyone?) then I would say go ahead and send the reply coupon. She probably has an assistant who does her mailing.
If not, can you get someone to send you some US stamps. You can buy postage online but I don't know if you can do it from the UK, again someone in the US could buy you a postage label and e-mail it to you.

But if it turns out that she does reply to her post I would say go with the first option and include a nice letter or yo

Thanks coolkid. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a $50 rear mezz ticket than wait at TKTS so? What is the view like from there?

Those pics could be on her blog! Didn't think she'd come out and sign , I wanted to get Colin Hanks but if I meet Fonda I may be starstruck for the first time in my life.

Did any of the cast sign at the stage door?

Do they accept UK student id's at any of the theatres though I wonder?

Does anyone know how much the tickets are at tkts? I want to go on the 2/21 , 8pm show but I won't make it down to the box office until the afternoon so rush is out and I'm trying to decide between TKTS or using my playbill discount code.

Sometimes Patti looks stunning , such as at the Tony awards but I have to give her props for being photographed just after waking , I find it hard to even look at myself in the mirror when I get up. Her husband is very attractive , they look adorable together. Great to see a couple so in love and affectionate after 20 years.

I might wait a little longer so , I'm hoping to be there on the 18th too, fitting it in before Kathy Griffin the following night!
'33 Variations' ticket question
 Jan 13 2009, 04:03:54 AM
I'm planning a February trip to NYC for my aunt's birthday. I know she'd love to see Jane Fonda but I'm not sure if I can stretch my budget for full price tickets. If there is going to be discount codes does anyone know when these are likely to be released? Or would it be better to blow the budget and get tickets in advance?
re: Megan Mullally

She usually comes out , I saw it a few Sunday's ago and she came out and signed. If you want a picture stand at the end of the barrier , if you're near the front she tens to say no! Also as you're a fan mention something else that she's done rather than just YF. I've stage doored YF times (it was hard to ger Christopher an Sutton) and she could be stand-offish but when people said I loved your talk show or your cd she opened up more, Good Luck!

Thanks Tracygee and all. I didn't know there was a film version so I'll definately take a lot at that, I can really see Goldie in that role.
re: Gypsy Seating Question:

I got the last row of the mezz from TKTS and the view was fine except for the very tall guy in front of me! But the balcony won't obstruct the view.
Anyone familiar with 'Butterflies Are Free'?
 Jun 28 2008, 09:44:38 AM
I'm getting some new audition material together and I like Jill's monologue from Butterflies Are Free but I haven't read the play and it's not in my library. The info I could find online regarding the play didn't mention anything about the marriage which is the monolgue so I'm a bit lost.

Can anyone give me a synopsis?
