Yeah, I love her so much that I want to go see this show again. I'm still sad that Godspell didn't play out...

Does the box office then turn around and sell them to the people in the cancellation line at face value, or is there some sort of discount?

Agreed. Pop stars these days aren't good live.

Liza! When she said "my two best friends are a tomato and Liza Minnelli" I freaked out because I knew it was coming!

"Everyone is here...except for Jeremy Piven, but I don't think he has a good excuse"

Or something close to that

That's what I thought too! Makes sense, she's the musical guest tonight.

"We'll put on a show, with lavish costums, and charge $150 a ticket!"

"No! That's what isn't working!"

SO FUNNY!

Haha, the broadway racist jokes...good!

Also - loved the Jeremy Piven joke, but I bet 95% of the SNL audience didn't get it.

I've seen both.

I've always thought that at the end she was doubting the actions of Father Flynn and whether or not she had done the right thing. And the differences I noticed were just obvious things they had to do to adapt it for the screen. In the play, the only characters are the two sisters, the father, and Mrs. Miller - the film added in a lot more characters (more sisters, all the children, and all the other adults they added in)

Another thing that I noticed was in the

I completely agree with what you are saying about Greg. When I saw the show about a month ago, my mind kept going back to "how can they not hear him!?!?" It kept taking me away from the show, and reminding me that I was watching a play because of how unrealistic his portrayal was.

On a side note from the current tangent...

From Wikipedia (I know, not a good source, I just found it funny that it's in there)

"According to the Original Cast of [title of show] on Dec 8, 2008 at the Gypsy of the year [title of show] will be returning to Broadway in April, 2009"

etoile, is broadway all about the money for you? if so, im very very sorry.
people dont become theatre actors because they are trying to make millions of dollars.

----

For the backers, Broadway is all about money - and THEY are the ones standing in the way of [tos] right now, not the actors, not us, not anyone but the people cashing their checks.
