re: Saw FINDING NEMO the musical a few days ago and...

"I completely understand. They still could have done it a bit better. I mean, the BATB show at MGM, which was the same length, rewrote the story a bit and nothing was confusing (although that production was a bit hoaky)."

That's true, the Nemo show does become confusing sometimes.

The BATB show...I've been waiting for them to redo that for a while along with Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Why do my favorite Disney movies have to have the crappiest shows?

Sorry you didn't like it too much. Versus all the other Disneyland and WDW shows I've seen I would say Nemo was one of the best. No, it's no Broadway but you can't expect it to be. Parts were left out and some things were rushed but you kinda have to expect that. The shows are made to be short because honestly most people who pay about $70 for a park ticket aren't going to want to take out a couple hours worth of park time to sit down and watch a show.

How much of Come to Me was cut?
Evelyn Nesbit in Ragtime
 Dec 3 2006, 06:09:10 PM
I recently read Ragtime (the novel) and afterwards was kind of disappointed at the Broadway interpretation of Evelyn. In the novel I find her interesting and sympathetic, but in the stage version her character is vague and almost pointless to the story. Anyone else feel similar?

4. I Dreamed a Dream from Les Mis
5. Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again from The Phantom of the Opera

They change from time to time, but usually Wheels of a Dream remains #1

I've actually just ordered the novel from Chapters and should be getting it this week

The novel is amazing! I just read it about a month ago. In many ways I enjoyed the book more than the musical. For instance, Evelyn's storyline in the novel makes you feel more sympathetic and understanding of her character.

Like many others have said, Ragtime is a masterpiece. My favorite song is Wheels of a Dream. Words cannot express how much I love that song.

"but from what my friend has told me whom I trust a lot, Joey was a very good singer, but actingwise he was the worst."

I definately agree with that. His acting was horrible.
