re: Rent tour; 'two significant changes to the production'
 Jan 7 2009, 01:10:29 AM
I have tickets to see the tour in North Carolina. I've never seen Rent onstage and now I'm nervous as hell because of the scary fangirls! I've heard stories, of course, but I've never been in close proximity.
:)

The token chubby girl and the token black girl are rolled into one on this show!

Love him to death.
But I totally pictured the puppet from The [title of show] Show.
"Get outta here Cheyenne Jackson!"

"There's a bender among us, he must be exposed
He'll kidnap our children and take off their clothes
There's a bender among us, there's pink in our flock
A boy without conscience, whose led by his...

Cockamamie. Pure Cockamamie."

Makes me laugh every single time!

re: Jaystarr's Special Photo Thread on THE FABULOUS FOX THEATER in Atlanta.

I live in Atlanta, so I've been to the Fox many times. I've seen Annie twice, All Shook Up, Cats (last year's tour), and High School Musical. I have tickets to see The Drowsy Chaperone there this Friday and I'll be seeing a Dolly Parton concert in March. It's so beautiful, but I have this bad habit of staring at the pretty, blue ceiling instead of the show!

"His name is Blake Bashoff? I think he should of found a stagename."

I find that comment hilarious!

Thank you so much for your opinions, guys. I agree about not censoring what he sees and it wouldn't be fair to him if I didn't take him before it closes. Thanks!

Thanks for your opinions, guys.
I'll talk to my mom about it and see what she thinks.

Age Question.
 Jan 19 2008, 05:14:36 PM
My little brother is eight years old and he loves the movie version of Rent. I want to take him to see it on stage before it closes, but I'm worried that it might be inappropriate for his age. (I haven't seen it, either.) Thoughts?

Wendla's death wasn't intentional. Her mother just want the baby aborted so they wouldn't be shunned by their community, because it was a "sin."
At least that's what I think.

I think All Shook Up is one of the cutest things I've ever seen.

I didn't realize that they were from Georgia.
Augusta is only about an hour from where I live!

Help Trying to Remember a play
 Aug 23 2006, 09:18:55 PM
Not really sure if this is the place for me to post this, but I'm trying to remember the name of a play.

It's about this kid whose father abused him and his little brother. His brother, Philip, eventually killed himself and the other kid vowed revenge for the rest of his life.

That's all I can remember and I would REALLY appreciate it if someone could help. If this is the totally wrong place for me to have posted this, I'm sorry! I'll do better next time. (:
