Not to mention a signal blocker would only block the signal. It won't stop the idiot from incessantly opening his phone to try to get that text message sent.

Are you kidding me? This guy is playing Roger on Broadway?! I saw him on the tour last year and he was my absolute least favorite part of the show. I know it's only opinion, but I thought his performance was sub-par for a touring production led alone a Broadway show...

Downstairs Cabaret, a semi-professional theatre company out of Rochester, NY, recently produced this show and is now touring it around the country (28 cities in 13 states--per their brochure). Is this the tour we're talking about?

To piggyback on uncageg: Each column on the listings at Theatermania is a link so you can sort by columns if alpha order isn't what you're looking for.

MTI definitely has the rights... http://mtishows.com/show_home.asp?ID=000336 There's no real word as to when they'll be released though, aside from the first announced regional production that rclocalz mentioned.

I've only listened to bits and pieces of the music so far and read the synopisis, but it really sounds like you've got your act together and I, for one, would come see the show! I hope you find someone to help you get your show produced!

Why is it that people are always asking for scores/parts to this show... I rarely see anyone blatantly asking where to get stuff to illegally produce other shows, why this show? It's an amazing show, just curious why it seems to draw the 'I-don't-seem-to-realize-I'm-publically-asking-how-to-break-the-law' crowd?! You wanna do the show so bad, pay for the rights like everyone else!

I purchased a metal Avenue Q keychain over a year ago, and it's still going strong. Aside from a few scuffs I'm sure I could buff off, it's perfect!

re: Rochester, NY: RBTL '07-'08 Broadway Series Announced... Mar 28

Karen, to be honest, I would guess 'Spelling Bee' gets lost in most touring theatre's it plays... It's meant for small theatres but that doesn't exactly make a touring production financially viable. In general touring shows are cast with equity performers unless it's a non-equity tour (ie- The current Rent tour). Rentboy, I'm not sure exactly what upgrades were made for Lion King, but I think most were in the backstage area. Newmoon, thanks for the kind words about my

Yeah, to be honest 'Cirque...' is really the only one I couldn't care less about. That sort of acrobatic-dance stuff just doesn't really do it for me... I pay my money to see musical theatre! If it wasn't part of the series package I certainly wouldn't be going! They have put alot of $$$ into the theatre as of late (Necessary upgrades to get Lion King to come in a year ago), but I've no doubt the facilities are probably still pretty antiquated in comparison to other touring houses aroun

re: Rude People At The Theater! *gasp* Feb 25

Carl, What city was the production you saw in. I recently saw a production of this Show in Rochester, NY and had something very similar happen at the performance I saw. The actor playing Jon was sitting on the front steps singing when this woman apparently couldn't hold it any longer so walked out, literally blocking everyone's view of the performer and pretty visibly annoying the actor. It's a shame he was mid-song, if he was just speaking he could have put her in her place. I would have! Maybe

re: Sheet music for 'If You Hadn't But You Did'? Jan 3

Bumping this one back to the top. I know Warner Chappell Music owns the rights to this song, but the sheet music is nowhere to be found. I sent an email to them, but God only knows if anyone will even bother to email back. Does anyone know anything more on this? It's such a fun song, it's a crime the sheet music doesn't seem to be available anywhere... Here's the link to Warner Chappell's site stating that they own the rights to this song...

Yeah, I hate to burst your bubble (because I really want this show to succeed as well), but tickets have been on sale through March 4th for awhile now. They haven't added more yet...

re: Jennifer Holliday GOIN OFF On Wendy Williams Dec 4

To hear her tell it, she had a regular job on Ally McBeal for 5 seasons. I've never seen the show, but according to imdb.com she was in a total of 6 episodes over 5 seasons. I certainly feel for her that she reached the high point in her life at such a young age and really has never been able to find that kind of star status again for anything else she's done. I also do feel like they should have offered all three orginal actresses cameos in the movie, but from all the press she's been doing

Okay, just got home from seeing this tonight (in Rochester, of course) and am elated that I have an area where I can talk about what I saw. One thing that I kept hearing over and over again was people (those not familiar with the show--my mother being one of them) were having an incredibly difficult time following what was going on because they couldn't understand half of what was being said in the dialogue inbetween and during songs. There were lots of times that if I didn't know what was bei
