we're going to see a show on the friday, but nothing is planned yet.
on the saturday, I have friends involved in SITPWG, so i'm rather excited about that, but until i see them in the evening on i'm on my own all day (a slightly exciting yet scary prospect).

Thank you so, so much for all the advice!!!!!
you're all legends xx

hehe - 'he' is a she - my name's Hannah, lol (bingbong is a childhood nickname)

I am a student, so i will be making the most of student rush tickets - whoop! And yes, it's pretty much half price over there - hence the fact that i've managed to come over

Is there anything of Kerrigan/lowdermilk's workshopping/playing anywhere?
Or even any masterclasses - that would be an amazing way to spend my time.

I can't wait to come over! Hoorahh!

Thank you for your replies - keep em coming

lots o love xx

Hi there :)
I'm coming up to new york from London this weekend and was wondering what i should be doing while i'm there.
I'm with friends on friday and sunday, but i have the whole of saturday to myself. I'm seeing sunday in the park with george on the sat night.
Any advice on something else i can do while i'm there - where to go, etc?
I want to catch a saturday matine. Not sure what to see tho.

Any help/ideas would be brill! xx

"Nobody Does It Like Me" is still really overdone, and one which is even more so, is the "co-dependency duet" which is a mix of "Nobody Does It Like Me" and "You Can Always Count On Me"
for some reason i find that slightly bizzarre - hearing people at school doing one version or another of what i think of as pretty much the same song - i find it rather confusing lol.
xx

P.S I'm quite tired so excuse me if i don't make too much sense xx

Sondheim's Catchiest Score?

I'd say assassins - you don't get much catchier than national anthem, lol

3. Carousel
4. Baby
5. West Side Story
6. Nine
7. Tommy
8. Mack and Mabel
9. Light in the Piazza
10.Into the Woods/Sunday in the Park...(can't decide)

Have you ever seen these shows live? If so, where?
baby/light in the piazza i saw naughty copies of, everything else i saw either on tour or in central london, apart from carousel and west side story which i saw at a drama school.

i was talking about the uk :), i think they've quietly been planning to take it off for a while, obviously that isn't in the very near future anymore.
You're very right that it won't be coming off quietly, whenever it does. Who knows...

I think this was actually quite a an interesting piece. It was well thought out and simply presented. It wasn't preachy, just simple. the purpose was to tell this one girls story, it was never politically in your face.
Well directed and well acted.
Just my thoughts. xx
