Randomly happened to be there. I figured something was up when there were three TV cameras and a couple of serious photographers in the boxes. The Nurse was listed as "A Very Special Guest". As mentioned above Ellen was on as a Nurse. She flubbed her lines but Sean saved her. Definately got the two of them off kilter for a little while afterwards.

I think that is a picture of the actual set itself. You can see the speakers that Drury Lane uses in the top of the picture. The set is in a word... Wow. Saw the first preview tonight. They pulled out all the stops on this one. I was supposed to see Thursday night's show... that was canceled since "they weren't ready". Reschedueled for tonight. The Artistic Director did a curtain speech about having automation issues. "They told me it would be push the button and it moves... well... it d

I just edited the post to include the link. While you can buy the sheet music to do a public performance you do need a license from either BMI, ASCAP, or most likely both. If you are just singing for your family and friends you don't need a license.

The song still involved the toys and was called "Playing The Game". It was a strange song.... almost like it wasn't done yet. It could easily be cut to make the 1st act a little shorter (the 5 year old in front of me was definately ready for a break). Andrew Kennan-Bolger was in today and was ok.... however, he looks way too young for the role. It just didn't work for me. I saw he played Leaf in Spelling Bee.... definately could see that. Part of the issue may be that the rest of

Well we went and saw Poppins this afternoon. The show curtain is a scrim with the roof tops on the tomoorrow and the title across it with the projector. I liked the set; we saw it in London and there is no way they'd be able to tour that massive set. The "comic book" look worked very well. It wasn't distracting at all. Temper, Temper is history. There is another song in its place which is less scary to the kids but isn't that good. I understand why it was done but Temper, Temper

alterego has the right idea. There are two version and you can rent them but you have to pay for the Channing key first and then if you want the alternative version you have to pay additional $. It was about 7-10% in rights to get the additional orchistrations I believe.
