I just got the soundtrack from the library and I think I like the score and the plot is very interesting. Does anyone out there have thoughts on it who saw it? I'd be curious in particular about John Lithgow's performance.

I was walking with a friend on 45th and he said "Oh ****, that's Jennifer Daminiano!" I didn't think it was her so I yelled "Jennifer!" and she spun around looking for who screamed her name. We were just staring at her aghast. Once she saw us and we weren't saying anything, she said "Hey?!" and then walked away. Not our best moment.

After the La Cage matinee today my friend asked Kelsey Grammer when he was switching roles. In response he said (this is paraphrased), "Might not happen anymore. Maybe next year." Does anyone know about this?

I agree that she deserved the win and that Next to Normal gave a highlight performance, but none of you thought that speech was insincere banter?! I found it presumtuous and completely off-putting.

it was Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street a Musical Thriller. I know it's 11 and a revival...
