Character Women

With your help, I'd like to compile a list of females whom you regard highly as Broadway and/or Off-Broadway actors. Please limit your candidates to women who can play strong yet sympathetic, acerbic characters. In terms of models, think Shirley MacLaine, Judy Dench, etc. Thanks, Sam

Where might I locate a DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS poster (11X17) that doesn't cost $75.00?

Thanks,

Sam

True. It is too early for a revival of HTSIB.

I think someone should write a new show for this guy. What a talent.

In my opinion, Tom Hewitt does a great job as Jameson. I didn't see Lithgow but Hewitt strikes me as better suited. I hear Pryce was excellent.

Thanks,

Sam

What's next for Leo?

Apparently Norbert Leo Butz ends his tour with DRS in Dallas. Anyone know if he's committed to another B'Way show? We just saw him in Houston and it strikes me that he has some of the same brilliance as Robert Morse. Maybe a revival HOW TO SUCCEED?

Thanks,

Sam

B'way hotels

Anyone have an opinion of either the Casablanca Hotel or the Courtyard Marriott? Both near Times Square. Is it foolish to stay near all the noise? We will see plays every night so why not be close?

Will welcome any other hotel recommendations.

Thanks,

Sam

Paraphrase all of Charlie's lines. Express his thoughts and feelings with words you would use. This technique will help you relate and make the experience honest. Then, after you've personalized, go back to the actual monologue but keep the connections, the discoveries.

The many-layered, always surprising Professor Harold Hill in THE MUSIC MAN. Especially in the talented hands of the great Robert Preston.

Li'l Abner, 1957. My mom got tickets for us on the third row. Before curtain we watched as Stubby Kaye arrived and looked at snapshots with family. "See you later in the country," he said as he headed for the stage door. We loved the show -- Peter Palmer, Edie Adams, Charlotte Rae. I fancied that a girl in the chorus flirted with me. Also saw Most Happy Fella and Visit to a Small Planet on that trip. Still have the playbills. Dazzled and hooked. Since then I've spent my life as a playw

Crazy for You (Once again)
 Jun 30 2004, 01:30:44 PM
Here we go again. I'd STILL like to purchase a VHS or DVD of Crazy For You as presented on the PBS series, Great Performances. The production was taped live at the Paper Mill. Any tips?

Thanks,

Sam

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your reply.

Any chance you'de be willing to sell a dub of your copy? Or is that illegal?

Thanks again,
