What is the average length a show must play nowadays to recoup its investments. I think less than a year is quite quick for a massive show like Hairspray! Sunset Boulevard played for ages everywhere, and still lost money!

Harvey could reprise his role!

It played in Melbourne, Australia, and I think it recently played in Russia (of all places!). There were some rewrites in London, and in Melbourne (one song was cut).

But, in answer to your question, I have no idea if it is "flying to New York", but going on the cast album, it sounds like a great show!

I heard a rumour that The Producers and Hairspray are both opening in Australia in March, 2004. Does anyone have any info on this?

Does anyone know when Amour and Frog and Toad are being released on CD?
Hmmmm...

Technically, I guess they would have to give it to them all. It is not really fair to nominate them, have them win, and then not give them all the award.

However, I don't think the Tony voters would vote for URBAN COWBOY, due to the large number of nominees. This is what I think contributed to THE LION KING not winning Best Score, as there were just too many people (and Ragtime played a large part!).

Me too...

Yeah. I saw it about a year ago on pay TV in Australia, and also thought it would make a good musical, especially the scene where she rips her face off.
Style of Frankenstien

What style of music do you think he has composed? I have always pictured it being a sort of On the 20th Century style score, except for Puttin' on the Ritz.
Tonys Trivia...

I do not know. I was just wondering whether it has ever been done. To my knowledge, it has never been done...

Has any musical production won all 4 acting Tonys?
