THE PRESENT Previews

Does anyone know where the rush seats are for this show?  Was thinking of trying it out this week.

SWEET CHARITY Revival
 Dec 21 2016, 10:36:24 AM

Can anyone tell me if there's one side of the theatre that's better to sit on than the other two for this show? Or all the same? I've never been to that theatre and am looking at tickets now.  Thanks! Excited.

Cancellation line success yesterday!  I'll share what I experienced.

My plan was (along with my husband) to rush on Wednesday morning and arrive by 7am with hopes for matinee tickets.  However, we just happened to be passing by the Richard Rodgers yesterday afternoon (Tues) and I noticed that there were only three people in the cancellation line. It was around 3:15 in the afternoon, and with the show at 7pm, I thought it might be a good risk to take to try for tickets THEN

Stage Height for Kinky Boots
 Jul 1 2013, 10:44:02 PM
Can anyone tell me if the stage for Kinky Boots is high? I found a pair of of front row seats at full price, but wonder if they might be partial view.

Anyone know?

Thank so much. :)

Anyone need 1 ticket to A Kid Like Jake tomorrow?
 Jul 1 2013, 05:05:35 PM
I have an extra ticket that I'd like to sell for face value ($25 total, including the ticket fee). The show is tomorrow at 7pm and the run is sold out. Message me if your'e interested. I wound up getting tickets for another night with a friend. I have a paypal account and the ticket is electronic. - Melissa
The Other Place
 Jan 6 2013, 03:07:40 PM
Just got back from a trip to NYC (saw eight shows). The Other Place was definitely at the top of my favorites list. When the show concluded, I just had to sit in my seat and settle back into real life because the show carried that much power. Laurie Metcalf is a true force on that stage.

In a stroke of luck, there was a talkback after the show and all four actors participated. The younger actress, Zoe Perry, took over the role for the Broadway run and was also jut great in the show.

The box office will offer premium seats to the cancellation line (at premium prices) as they come in - but once it's close to curtain time - they sell what they have for $155. However, as I stood in the cancellation line, I witnessed several premium seats sold at $477 a pop to those willing to pay it. No need to do that though.
HOW TO SUCCEED Rush

7:30 is my suggestion.

The cancellation line had people waiting for all different numbers of tickets. One lady bought four. In SRO, it's a different story. I believe it's two per person in that line.

Just an update. Tried the cancellation line last night. Got there at 5:00 for a 7:00 curtain. Wasn't early enough. They gave out 11 tickets. We were the hopeful 12 and 13. Next time! :)

9 to 5 Tour

I saw it today in San Antonio. Had a great time. I saw the show once in New York and did notice it was scaled back quite a bit, but it's still a fun show. Mamie Parris was the standout in my opinion.
re: Rush Tonight?!
 Dec 27 2009, 05:28:51 PM
I think you could DEFINITELY rush tonight. I've been surprised all week at high easy the rush lines and lotteries have been, especially considering the holidays.
Memphis is a good bet. There were lots of rush seats unused last night. We sat in Row D, on the side and there were lots of empties around us. Race also had lots of empty boxes today. I say go!

I'm excited to hear you liked the show! I finally have a day available to see the trilogy next weekend. They only have seats in the 400's left. Anyone ever sat over there?

She fell during "What You Want," breaking her elbow, but finished the show. I'm amazed at her fortitude.
re: Rushing a Show on the day of the Tony Awards...

I've done rush on Tony day the past couple of years. I really didn't notice that much of a difference, if any. I would think you'd be okay with that show.

Just to the left of the box office window, there is a sign that says the dates for the next couple of talkbacks and who will be doing them. I'm not sure who is next, however, I just know that is where they post it.

I saw the show this past Sunday (loved it!) and saw the talkback with Bobby Cannavale. He was quite funny and laid back.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I LOVED this show. It wasn't frozen when I saw it and they were still reworking the ending, but I thought it was evenly balanced and powerful. Yes, it's intimate and character driven - but there were some really nice moments onstage.
