Sweeney Todd Plot Question
 Mar 15 2018, 03:47:50 AM

Can someone give their take on this question?

One thing I never understood about Sweeney Todd was why did Sweeney suddenly not care about seeing his daughter again? He knows the judge has her and that she even goes to an insane asylum, and yet he does not want to help her or see her again?

The whole reasoning for his revenge is because the judge took him away from his wife and daughter, and when he sees he has killed his wife he is devasted, yet he doesn’

I saw that an international tour was announced for Groundhog Day after it was announced that it's closing on broadway. I was just wondering about how likely it is that Andy Karl will be on the tour and when more information will most likely be announced? Thank you!!!

Musicals with very few dialogue?
 Jul 17 2016, 04:15:49 AM

Mr. Nowack said: "Question for OP are you also looking for musicals with absolutely no dialogue?

"

I was just reading the Cats revival forum and hearing the whole no plot and only dancing and songs claim got me curious about other musicals with a lot of songs.

Musicals with very few dialogue?

I felt like Sweeney Todd had a good fair amount.

 May 28 2016, 11:40:49 PM

Can you give me an example of some popular musicals that have had roles double cast?

What's the best amateur performance of a musical you have ever seen?
 May 23 2016, 01:39:44 AM

I saw a community theater production of The Producers in Rialto, CA last summer. That was by far the best amateur musical theater performance I have ever seen.

Do you think Aladdin will close soon?

Is it still a fairly popular show rn?

Why was the Gigi musical so short lived?
 May 1 2016, 06:36:06 PM

I'm taking about the one that was recently on Broadway with Vannessa Hudgens. Was it not selling well or was it just not a very good show?

What Disney Movie is Next in Line for Broadway?

Tangled please!!!

Who is your favorite Broadway actor/actress?
 Apr 27 2016, 07:33:04 PM

Mine is definitely Lesli Margherita! I think she is hilarious!!! She always makes me laugh in her interviews and vlogs. I also thought she was perfect as Mrs. Wormwood. She was so energetic and hysterical in the role.

Wicked, Book of Mormon, Matilda rights??
 Apr 26 2016, 07:17:15 PM

Yeah the biggest problem with Book of Mormon is there really aren't any roles for any women other than women of color. I don't think is a single woman role in the Book of Mormon for a white woman? Still I would think at some point there may be an amateur group wanting to perform this show.

Wicked, Book of Mormon, Matilda rights??
 Apr 26 2016, 05:49:38 PM

I said high school for Wicked and community for Mormon. If community theaters and colleges put on productions of "Reefer Madness" a satire musical about marijuana then why can't they put one on  about Mormons? I feel like if they could release the rights that a lot of community theaters would put this show on.

Also for the record typing replies on an iPhone is very hard. Didn't mean to have that whole reply be in a different font.

Wicked, Book of Mormon, Matilda rights??
 Apr 26 2016, 05:27:12 PM

Does anyone have any idea about when these could be released if ever? I doubt high schools putting on Wicked or community theaters putting on Book of Mormon will make people want to see these shows on Broadway any less. Matilda could be fun for a lot of amateurs too.

FROZEN to Officially Hit Broadway
 Apr 25 2016, 09:38:10 PM

I'm honestly a little disappointed Frozen is getting a Broadway musical before Tangled. Yes, I understand why because of how hugely successful it was but I feel like Tangled has more of a musical theater feel than Frozen. I feel like "I have a dream" has more of a Broadway show feel than "For the first time in forever"' Still I'm looking forward to a Frozen musical. I hope Hans finally get his own solo villain number!!

How did you interest in musical theater start?
 Apr 25 2016, 09:20:50 PM

I've been liking musicals sing those little Disney sing along videos I had on vhs from the 90's. Guessing my love for musicals started from Disney?! Haha.

How much longer do you think Book of Mormon and Wicked will last?
 Apr 25 2016, 09:17:01 PM

Yeah I don't see Wicked going anytime soon. I still don't get how Book of Mormon made it so huge on Broadway though. It's one of my all time favorite shows but man is some of the material crude.
