Leslie Caron on French Radio Feb 12
2010, 07:36:17 AM
I was at the radio recording on Monday (though as Scripps2 stated, it will air this coming Sunday). They filmed the entire thing so it will also be available on video on www.francemusique.com Lambert Wilson wasn't there due to the recent death of his father. He was replaced (brillantly I must say) by Damian Thantrey. They sang "Now", "Later", "Soon", "A Weekend in the country", "You must meet my wife", etc. Former 'I'd do anything' contestant Francesca Jackson also performed a superb "Miller's son". re: HAIR in Paris, France? Dec 29

This new production of HAIR opens on January 20, 2009 in Paris so nobody knows what it's worth yet. The cast is led by two of France's biggest musical theater stars, Fabian Richard ("Cabaret") and Laurent Ban (who dubbed Gerard Butler in the French version of "Phantom of the Opera"). Here's the link to the official site: http://www.hairmusical.fr/ and a video of the rehearsals can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvvILUJk9Rg

Sorry about that - I didn't know. He said in the interview he's been talking with Paula Wagner about it for the full week and according to him, it's starting to look very good for "Les Mis, the movie". Thanks for the welcome.

Les Mis, the movie - confirmed by Schöenberg Dec 21
2008, 10:55:59 AM
This weekend, Claude-Michel Schönberg confirmed to Europe 1 (one of France's biggest radio channels) that he's in talks with Paula Wagner (producer of Mission Impossible 1 & 2 and War of the Worlds) to do a movie based on the musical "Les Mis". You can listen to the interview here: http://www.europe1.fr/Radio/Emissions/Europe-1-Decouvertes-Michel-DRUCKER/. It's in French, though. He also said that "Les Miserables" is coming back to Paris in 2010 to celebrate the 30th Aniversary of the show. "Miss Saigon", "Martin Guerre" and "Marguerite" are also coming to Paris after "Les Mis".
