which show would you say is easiest to get good tickets for at rush ...i'm going to the city for a matinee and have lunch reservations at 11:30 so i think that may be conflicting to the rush policies for some shows, which shows can I easily get tickets for?
thanks
probably DRS. Wicked has too many. DRS has around 30.
This may be a dumb question, but I'm going to threadjack for a sec so I don't start a new thread...sorry.
What is rushing? I'm going to NY in Nov and I would love to know the easiest, least expensive ways to get tickets.
SWEET CHARITY and CHICAGO has great rushes.
No lotteries, where you have a small chance of winning.
Automatic tickets for 26 dollars - and some in the front row!

rushign is buying a ticket the day of your show at the box office for generally $20 to $26. Every theatre has a different policies. Some are first come first serve, some require student IDs and other's have lotteries at given times. I would say your best bet for rush tickets would to do a normal or student rush show and just be at the box office at 10 when it opens, I like to avoid lotteries when I'm dead set on seeing a show.
Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate it. Does it have to be a NEw York student ID or can I use my UNLV one?
I'd think any student ID could be fine.
I know it is for the Lincoln Center for Piazza.
Here is a great site for finding out Rush policies:

depending on day of week/time of year, the Rent lotto sometimes has less people than tickets available.

Hairspraydoll -- There is some more info on ways to get not-too-expensive tickest in the FAQ at the top of the message board. Aigoo put it together -- it's quite informative *and* amusing :) That said, Patronus may have already answered all your questions :) Have fun!
lennon is one of the easiest rushes to do. i had front row tickets for $26.25.
That actually good to know. If Lennon is still running in November, I may actually see that with my open slot.
