All show tunes, folks!

Ya gotta love Rosie and Ella for their show tunes series....and now Rod Stewart!

Yours for intelligent lyrics on Broadway!

Either Kiss Me Kate (revival cast) or Sunday in the Park w/ George (original cast)...I'm not exactly sure.

Well, the question is what is in you CD player right now? Not what are listening to? So, she might not be sure what is in her player right now. I hope that helps, ol' guy. re: re: re: what broadway cd is in your player right now?

Right now...I am listening to:
Car:Taboo but I have copies so it is also in my cd player in my room as well.
Computer Cd player: wicked
Downstairs CD player: working

I am happy about Taboo :)
Wicked is good and all, but I love Boy George's music.

I'm listening to the Lux Radio Theatre performance of Show Boat. It's interesting.

SonGunn...Congratulations! It's encouraging to know of someone expanding their musical theatre horizons.

If you'd like to explore SHOW BOAT further find a copy of Universal's 1936 film starring Irene Dunn. Closest to the original musical than subsequent films, which is not surprising as Hammerstein wrote the screenplay, and has one important orignal star: Helen Morgan as Julie. Curiously enough the 1936 film was directed by James Whale who also directed FRANKENSTEIN w/Boris Karloff. It's a wonderful film and the opening credits are quite a treat in themselves.

A couple of months ago, I copped the OBC of Sweeney. Just listening to the score lets me know what a genius Steve was!

I am currently listening to Elisabeth, a German musical by the world renowned librettist/lyricist Michael Kunze, with music by Sylvester Levay. Also in my cd player are Urinetown, Into the Woods, and Tanz Der Vampire.

Later!

WICKED!!! LOVE IT!!!

(Wicked has been what I've been listening to ever since I got it a couple weeks ago, with a couple holiday CD's mixed in for a day or so. The actual CD is in the car, here, I'm listening to WMA's.)

Happy New Year! =)
