Final verdict on tickets from Holtzman on Twitter/X:

"The B.O. removed the $75 price last Tues and now only sells $50 same-day unsold tickets. There are issuesnwith using “any” / “all” from the powers that be which is why we had to use “select.” Again, apologies for the confusion but the offer stands as it was originally intended"

forfivemoreminutes, thank you so much for your contributions on this thread. As someone who didn't want to go to my junior and senior proms but was pressured into it by neurotypical peers, a lot of what you say rings true for me. Even if it didn't, though, these are some of the most cogent and fascinating pieces I've ever read on BroadwayWorld.

Actually, when I spend my hard-earned money on a ticket to a 2.5 hour-long Broadway show, I'm well within my rights to speak to my experience and offer my recommendation as to whether I think it's worthy of other peoples' hard-earned money and time.

Sure- go for it. But you do realize not everyone will listen to you sweetheart right. They're entitled to spend their hard earned money on whatever they like as well

Please don't act so superior, so high and mighty that you can be the final word on this matter. People can spend their own hard earned money on whatever show they want, thanks. Learn that

Ah Broadway World Board hypocrisy. Some things never change.

Hearthemsing: I'm telling you - don't you dare tell anyone what to do.

Everyone else:  *blink, blink*

Do you really think the poster reccommended NOT seeing thinking their word would be taken for gospel?  It's their opinion, nothing more, nothing less.   I doubt there is any person that would read one poster's reccommendation and change their mind about seeing ANY show.   We take information in, digest it and decide for ourselves.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Thank you! yes. As an autistic person, I can NOT in good faith recommend this show to my autistic friends or autistic people in my own support group (that ranges from age 18-25). we are allowed to not like it. The show triggered me more than inspired me and we are allowed to tell warn others about it.

And this is exactly how I feel as well. ^^

Every sentence I read of your review had me saying, “yes, YES.” I wholeheartedly agree as an autistic person myself :) thank you.

And the people I went with were crying, and saying they felt very seen by the show. So your word is not gospel, people can spend money on it, and I can recommend it to people. Thank you for your contribution, so when people say "why is this closing?" we can in good faith say it's because people were telling others not to see it.

Also please check out social media reactions. I've only seen people say how much they love it. It might not have been written by autistic people, but that doesn't mean it hasn't done anything for the community. Acting like it's only triggering, not accurate and not worth seeing ain't it sweetie. Also, is everyone aware that your experience is not the same as others? You all do realize that right? Can you acknowledge that?

Are you implying your thoughts/feelings about the show are more important than others on the spectrum who do love the show, do felt seen, and do feel it's accurately portraying what they experience?

The only person saying that is YOU.  For the billionth tine since youve come here: EVERY SINGLE PERSON that has seen the show has the right to express their opinion no matter what it is.

“And [BWW members] never have to apologize for how rude they can be either. It's whatever they want and no how dare you disagree with them or if you do disagree with them it's because you want to start a fight or something when that is so far from the truth. They can dish it out but not take it.”

No. The only person implying that is YOU. It's amazing how you wreak havoc on every thread by sputtering your absolute nonsense up on your high horse over and over again and yet think EVERYONE else is the problem. Look in the mirror.

Oh boy. I "wreak havoc"? I would love for you all to take a look back at your posts and show me how you're kind, and sympathetic, empathetic, and never personally attack someone. I made a completely valid point that y'all chose to run with and turn around to use against me. Don't you have anything better to do than find one of my previous comments to use against me? Also you are delusional if you think some of you haven't been hypocritical either. At least I can admit my mistakes, while you all act like angels.

Anyway. I will encourage people to see this show but I completely accept your stances on the show, and thank you for sharing your opinions

You literally have "Do any of you stop to think about how you treat others?" in your signature. Maybe you should heed your own advice.

Multiple weeknight dates are now up on Audience Rewards. Probably one of the cheaper ways to see the show once the $50 deal runs out.

It has also been on two of the papering services for multiple dates for December & early January.

Can't figure out how to share a link, but the show is doing paid ads on social via these awful Tiktok-style influencer videos. I've seen 3 of them and they all follow the same format: a female does a wintertime activity in the area (skating, Bryant Park market, dinner, etc), then goes to the show with a friend or their kid, they sit in the balcony, they talk about the show using the provided talking points / highlighting the autistic cast & accessibility, some of them are seen stagedooring & hugging the cast, then it ends with a discount code. One of them had someone filming them during the show as they cried their eyes out (which is odd because I don't think of this as a "crying" musical...the emotions don't really go that far).

Feels cloying and desperate to me, but they don't have much else to work with.

The show is going to close in 4-6 weeks anyways

I think the $50 ticket thing was honestly a huge mis-step, as was announcing Ludacris as a celebrity co-pro who apart from a Instagram post has seemingly done nothing to promote the show which honestly, why him and why this show?
