MsooHyprToday - nice! Maybe I'll see you there? eslgr8 - If you happen to see this on gold star events can you let me know? You seem to have a nitch for finding the deals :)
I believe that On The Town was offered at Gold Star, so believe me I'll be keeping my eyes open. (Certainly full price won't be exhorbiant, considering it's high school, though LACHSA's West Side Story on the 15th/16th at the Alex in Glendale is $21 for evening performances. No 1/2 price tix offered for that.) In any case, I'll keep you posted.
Hmm, let's see now. "This is 1922"! I see the Flatiron building, ok, maybe, and the Chrysler, the Empire State, they're both 1930's, no? What about the "Woolworth Building, the Met Life Tower"? Is that the Woolworth all the way on the left? It should be on the right if you're looking East. Little details aside, I wish you all the best, and I can't wait to see school productions of TMM back here.
Suzycat - yes they are incredible. If you need proof, one of the girls who went to this high school actually understudied Sutton in Millie right after graduation (she was only 19 when she went on for her!) ... and now this same girl is choreographing the show for them so I'm assuming it's going to be pretty damn close to the real thing. The only thing that I'm a little curious about is that apparantly they cast a sophmore as Millie, but I guess that just means she must've been that much better to beat out the juniors and seniors, no?
Personally I wouldn't risk getting them at the door. Just call the number on the poster as the time gets closer. Wish I could tell you for sure but they are your best bet for info.
