#13 Earthquakes in San Francisco in 4 days!
Posted: 12/23/06 at 12:26pmI hope this isn't a sign of something worse but we have had 3 minor quakes on the Hayward fault over the past 4 days and I have felt and heard each one of them! I don't think I'll ever get used to them no matter how long I live here.

These are all around a 3.5 magnitude. There is a theory that a bunch of smaller earthquakes will relieve the pressure but I think there is also a theory that the smaller quakes could be an indicator of a bigger one. I hope the former is true as I'm holding out hope that the "big one" will come long after I've passed on.
I'm not sure about the 4 legged animals but I'm confident Bill O'Reilly is keeping his fingers crossed. He has been wishing for a disaster to strike SF.

Oh right, the whole "San Francisco values" canard. As if San Franciscans aren't citizens of the US.
Well, let's hope it's not a sign of more to come. Just run to a doorway or whatever, remember that!

I grew-up in the Bay Area.....this is nothing new, small quakes all the time.....not to worry Jimmy.
Steve jokes with me about the 7.1 one we had just north of here shortly after we moved here that I slept through, while apparently the whole house shook.....

These three shook pretty hard. I live in a high rise and the one on Wednesday was really strong and "bouncy". I know DG is in town - I blame him and his merry making!
