I don't know what to think of this movie. It looks like it has the makings to be something very special. And, with such an all-star cast, it's going to be hard to resist.
I mean...Streep and Tomlin are enough alone.
A Prairie Home Companion
I love Garrison Keillor, so I'm so there. The cast sounds pretty incredible, if a little random.

I've never even heard of A PRARIE HOME COMPANION or Garrison Keillor, yet this film still looks great.
You've never heard of Garrison Keillor?

Nope, not at all.
Is PRARIE HOME COMPANION just like a small, cult-following kind of deal?
Do yourself a favor and read his Lake Wobegon books.

Is he like a political satirist or something?

Better yet - turn on NPR some Sunday might and listen to the actual show.

Even YOU theaterbabe have heard of it? Wow...what the hell is wrong with me?
I feel like Duckman in that one episode where everyone started singing a song he didn't know.

Hey! What's that supposed to mean??

I'm just expressing surprise at how far and wide this Prarie Home thing reaches.

Hah. It's a great show. You'd like it.

Is it podcasted? I don't have a radio.
You MUST listen to the radio show, Cruel. It's so funny (and I love Keillor's voice). It always reminds me of my grandmother, who had a bunch of the broadcasts on tape. The cherry-picker one was always my favorite.
I just checked, they don't podcast, but there are recordings of his stories and songs out there.

Keillor is not overtly political. Just a brilliant storyteller who is largely responsible for the success of public radio. Without PHC, shows like "This American Life" and "Whadda Ya Know?" probably wouldn't exist.

Cute trailer- I didn't even want to shoot Trailer Voice Guy. The cast is a bit eclectic, but what the heck.
So...Meryl Streep for Mrs. Lovett? *ducks*
H*ells yeah - Meryl Streep for Mrs. Lovett!
Can't wait to see Lily and Meryl together on the big screen. They were magic for the Oscars.
Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!
Did I ever tell you that I love MERYL and LILY?
oh my!
