Posted: 10/3/11 at 3:37pmIt's on full rotation here in Seattle, and yes, it's on right now. Hoping the evidence speaks for itself and she's let go. Alas, it's a guessing game (and she just walked into the room)

Justice (in my opinion) was done.
Good for Italy for recognizing something was not right.

Posted: 10/3/11 at 4:01pmIt is sad that Troy Davis' family probably wishes the Italian courts had been able to rule on his appeals.

I think the correct decision was reached.
The terror on Amanda's face as she entered the courtroom was overwhelming.
I hope she is able to return home with privacy so she can begin putting the pieces of her life back together.
And, I think it's safe to say that the Knox family won't be taking vacations in Italy for... probably the rest of their lives!

Posted: 10/3/11 at 5:03pmSeriously, if I were the Knoxes and able to replenish my life savings that I spent visiting my daughter, if I had an urge for an Italian vacation I would stick to the Venetian or the Bellagio in Vegas, Epcot, or the Portofino at Universal Orlando.

Posted: 10/3/11 at 5:22pmGood for her and her family. As stated earlier in the thread, the contrast between justice in Italy and justice in Texas is startling. One can't help but wonder what the family of Troy Davis is thinking right now.

Posted: 10/3/11 at 5:47pmI'm so relieved for her and her family. What a nightmare. A guy I went to college with was arrested in Tortola while he was there on vacation. Another tourist (a woman) was murdered, and he and his friends had been seen talking to her in a bar earlier that night. They basically had no evidence other than that. They wanted it to be another tourist so it wouldn't mess up their tourism industry. His family had to appeal it all the way to British Parliament, and then he was released, but he was in jail for something like 3 years.

Posted: 10/3/11 at 9:00pmI generally don't get into these types of trails, but it's been all the news the Today show could handle lately and I got really into it. I remember having the feeling that she was totally innocent the first time around, so I'm elated by this news.

I feel relieved for Amanda and her family, but I feel so bad for the Kerchers. The actual murder victim has been kind of secondary in this whole circus, and I hope justice is gotten for her too.

Posted: 10/3/11 at 9:32pmRudy Guede was found guilty and convicted, but for just 16 years after he appealed a 30 year sentence. The prosecutor went rogue and crafted a ridiculous devil-worshiping orgy story that involved Amanda and the other guy, tried separately from Guede, and got 25 year sentences.
