AMC Oscar Showcase

I guess AMC theaters do this annually, but this is the first time I've heard of it.

Starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23 (the day before this year's Oscars), they will host a marathon screening of all five Best Picture nominees.

So you'll be able to see Michael Clayton, There Will Be Blood, Atonement, Juno, and No Country for Old Men, all in one extremely long sitting (12 solid hours of movie watching... and only one is a comedy. Yeesh!).

You can get an all-day pass for just $30 at the AMC website (which also tells you which of its theaters are doing the showcase).

So, anybody gonna do it?

12 hours! My God! I haven't done anything like that since the day I got out of 7th grade and went to see all five Planet of the Apes in one sitting.

I had no idea they do this!

I would totally go if I hadn't already seen ATONEMENT twice, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN once, THERE WILL BE BLOOD twice, JUNO three times and MICHAEL CLAYTON once.
