I just thought we should have our own thread on where people have been accepted.
I have only auditioned at one school and have heard nothing yet, and shouldn't until about Feb. Anyone else?

I have a wonderful piece of advice for the currently applying class of 2012. After all the applications are in and auditions are done...buy yourself or get your parents to buy you a spa treatment or massage.
....it makes all the difference. hahah
Oh and....breathe.

Accepted to UC Davis & UC Santa Barbara! I actually wasn't really considering them, but my parents made me apply since I was accepted & they're fairly close by (Davis is way TOO close for comfort - like an hour or so).
Dramatothemax - a massage sounds lovely right now. I've finished my apps, but audition stress is bearing down, plus I have to write a play so I can direct it next semester for my senior project... grr to school.

yes lovelyspot, i'm doing early action.
they asked us to prepare a 32 bar selection, do they ever have you do the entire song? should i prepare it just in case?

Posted: 11/28/07 at 12:36amI would prepare the entire song, so you get the feel of it. In terms of them asking you to go further, they're generally on a pretty tight schedule, but it's still a possibility that they COULD ask you for more. I would just know the whole song, to feel secure and to know what you're talking/singing about.

Posted: 11/28/07 at 9:07amMore advice: Prepare more than just the 2 contrasting songs. If you're in a private audition, a lot of times they'll ask for more. In my CCM audition they asked me if I had a high ballad in my book and luckily I had one prepared. Wesbter asked me to do another monologue too. So just always have a couple more things prepared, but remember, they want you to be great for their school!!
