Everyone has their "favorite" actors but even my favorites have had their turn in films I found unenjoyable or flat-out bad. So which actor or actress has a resume of films of which the majority you favor?
For me, it is Robin Williams. I haven't liked a lot of his latest "family" films, however. I wish he would choose better projects.

Tom Hanks.
Tonight, I'm watching Sleepless In Seattle and You've Got Mail.
I also love That Thing You Do!, Castaway, The Terminal, Toy Story, A League of Their Own, Big, Forrest Gump, Philadelphia, Apollo 13, Catch Me If You Can... The list goes on and on.
That said, I could have done without the Da Vinci Code and Ladykillers.

Definitely Meryl Streep for me. I thoroughly enjoy these (some like SOPHIE'S CHOICE, THE HOURS, and PRADA are among my all-time favorites):

He only had five major roles before his untimely death. He didn't really come into his own until GODFATHER II, but more than made up for it in that film, and in the ones that followed. A very very great loss.
He's also, according to imdb, in something called THE AMERICAN WAY. Anyone ever seen it?

I can't take him seriously since TROY. His big scene with Peter O'Toole is just embarassing.
