I've been at my college dinner theatre for 5 years and i've been happy to accept non leading roles because i know that not every role is meant for a big black woman. Well they decided to do my dreamrole of Adia recently. They cast white girl as the lead and they cast me as Nehebka. Now i'm not racist i think that everyone should have a chance but..... she can't even belt! She has a power chest voice but she overdoes it and she can't sing the high stuff. BUT I CAN and they know it. i know i didn't get that part because of my weight but how do i handle her messing up the show. Sometimes i want to jump on stage and show her to do it. The show has been apart of me for so long that i guess i can't let go. Does anyone have any advice for me ( besides lose weight!!)

Learn the name of your dream role--it's Aida.

I think like she forgot the 'n' in Adia...and it's really just a type-o for IDINA, DUH.

Well you'll just have to accept it, I guess. Nehebka is still a good role.

I was in a rush okay. There's no need for an attitude!
