Affordable health insurance coverage for artists

I'm an intern in hospital finance this summer with NYC Health and Hospital Corporation, and I just found out about Woodhull Hospital (in Brooklyn) has a great program to reach out to performers in New York city to get affordable medical care.

If you're a struggling artist, and would love to perform and teach art in exchange for medical care, Dance Theater Worskhop has posted up the information on their website at: http://www.dtw.org/downloads/woodhullartistsfinal5-18.pdf

Costs are as low as $15/physician visit and if you perform at the hospital (going to children's beds and singing for kids, painting murals, doing modern dance in the auditorium), you get credit so that you don't even have to pay for visits/medication. Check out the link for more information.
