Lone Star
such a shame, i thought the pilot was brilliant, i hate when great shows are axed because people don't give them a chance (yet 23 million people will watch DWTS)
Outlaw looks set to be next and last seasons Life Unexpected and the constant on the wire show Chuck also seem in danger

Posted: 9/29/10 at 11:17amI didn't see an actual announcement yet, but I knew it was coming. Such a shame. I did really like the episodes so far of LoneStar. I do see how it would be hard to make it a long term program, but I think it could've been awesome for a season. I look forward to seeing Wolk (i think that is his name) getting more work. He's a cutie.

I doubt that Chuck get an early cancellation, since its ratings always suck and it keeps getting renewed.
Outlaw was something of a snoozer, I thought, so I won't be surprised if it gets the axe. I didn't see Lone Star.

Outlaw was put on ratings purgatory known as Friday nights on a 4th place network and the whole premise was panned as well as the execution. An NBC show is bound to be in trouble and also news that the network is creating some Rachel Bilson vehicle puts a lot of other network shows on notice.
Chuck cannot be in trouble! Not until Linda Hamilton comes on as Chuck's mother!
As for Lone Star, it would have probably have been at least a one-season shot on cable.

When I first saw ads for Lone Star I was surprised to see it was a network show. It really strikes me as a cable show. Maybe someone will pick it up.
It also was in a hard time slot against Two and a Half Man (which is a very funny show) and The Event (which was heavily hyped).
I don't think the network was ever willing to give it much of a chance. The only ads I saw for it were online ones that were on the side of some webpage (where they could be easily overlooked). A stronger campaign could have certainly helped.

I agree Eric, it seemed like a cable show to me
Chuck is done after this season, it's ratings are horrid and now with new shows on the network its not needed, it's had a good run
Life Unexpected fell again last night meaning its sure to be axed, same with Running Wilde (awful show)

I'm still flabbergasted Chuck made it a fourth season. Every season after the first I've just appreciated as something that never should have happened in the first place. I agree that it's most likely a goner after this year, though.
Lol, Running Wilde. I think I watched about five minutes before I moved on.
I thought Life Unexpected was dreadful when I watched it last year (not to mention that it was essentially the same episode week after week). I didn't even attempt to watch it this season.

Running Wilde is depressing given the talent involved in front of and behind the camera. At the very least it needs to go on a sabbatical to re-work the show, starting with dropping the voice-over of the young girl (It was fun when there was Ron Howard as the disembodied, objective third person voiceover on AD).
I hope Outsourced makes a quit exit soon. NBC allegedly had enough episodes of Parks & Rec before Amy Poehler had the obvious baby-bump to last until new episodes post-pregnancy which makes me wonder why NBC is willing to temporarily shelve of their best comedies for one of the most panned new shows of the season. Sometimes the 30 Rock episodes just write themselves.
The whole Lone Star thing makes me think of how little confidence FOX had over how long they could sustain a double-life story line as the center of the show on network TV. Mad Men surviving on just the Don Draper double-identity storyline on network standard 20+ over 12-13 episodes on cable would sound terrible too.

We try giving most new shows a chance - some don't make it through an episode for us. The only ones we really liked this year were The Event and Raising Hope (Boardwalk Empire doesn't really count, I guess, though we did like that as well). We're sticking with Running Wilde hoping for improvement, and we liked Mike and Molly last week but forgot about it on Monday!
We actually didn't get to try Lone Star because of its scheduling.
We did give up on Two and a Half Men finally - just can't take any more of Jon Cryer!

ABC has axed My Generation
I haven't even seen this yet, so I can't really speak to the quality of the show. However, what bothers me is that networks don't give new things a chance. My Generation had internet ads, I saw it in tons of magazines, and there were commercials playing in movie theaters here during the pre-previews time. How is it that they can waste so much money marketing a show, and yet give those same shows no time to grow and possibly become something great? With a new program, I never judge it solely on the pilot. Sometimes a show can have a horrible first few episodes and then transform into a great show. Other times, a wonderful pilot can lead to a weak show. Yet I still see no reason why networks don't give a new TV show more than two weeks on the air.

Posted: 10/2/10 at 3:25amI REALLY hope they give Running Wilde a secod season. It has SO much potential and I think the creators could learn from their mistakes with the first season. It's very obvious they're trying to recreate Arrested Development, and I hope they can at least come close. I would think FOX would learn from cancelling AD...although, that show was brilliant from the very first episode.

I must be one of the only onces who liked Outsourced (the movie its based on is brilliant). Ive heard a lot of people shouting that it's racisit but i just aint seeing it. Yes it uses some stereotypes but so do shows set in a trailer park etc. I think the show has great potential.
I thought My Generation was OK, a good idea, sad to see it go so quick.
I think we will see 2 more get the axe next week.
I think by season end Undercovers will be gone as well.
