COLMES: ...you said, "It's far preferable to fight them on the streets of Baghdad than in the streets of New York, where the residents would immediately surrender." Now, some New Yorkers felt that you were calling them cowards by making that statement.
COULTER: No, I think I was calling them supporters of Cindy Sheehan.
COLMES: Is that what that is? You certainly don't feel that New Yorkers are cowards?
COULTER: I think they would immediately surrender.
COLMES: So you do?
COULTER: I don't -- I don't think -- I think I'd rather have them trying to invade Mississippi or Georgia, Alabama, you know, the states where I want Cindy Sheehan's bus tour to go.

Didn't she advocated the bombing of the NY Times? Seems like she disapprove terrorism when it's done by Islamic group, but approved of it when it's done by a domestic group.

Yes the Delightful Ann did indeed wish the destruction of the NY Times building. When challenged that she couldn't really be wishing death on the NY Times staff, she gave in and admitted she'd want the bombers to arrive only after the Janitorial & Printing crews had left, leaving only the entire remaining staff to be killed. And this is a woman who went ballistic when someone threw a PIE at her.
She is truly dreadful. Oddly, she isn't printed by many newspapers, making her living primarily through books sales, speakers fees and guesting on various chat-fests. I think most people are repulsed by her.

i gotta admit that i'm shocked that anyone gives her any real relevance. she's a shock wh*re who'll say anything to get headlines and almost always has little or no grasp on facts. ann's value, if you accept that there's any value in anything she does, is more to the left than the right as a beacon of intolerance and stupidity.
that said, i got such a kick out of the visual of li'l skinny annie taking on some ny'ers, that's got to be a ted rall cartoon in waiting.

Posted: 8/27/05 at 2:11pmactually, marc, i kinda disagree with the second part of that statement because i think it's always instructive to have clear examples of the extremes to which either side is willing to go. what i despise is the attention lavished upon those extremists by the media in an attempt to forment controversy to help their bottom lines. so let 'em keep yapping (as if there were really any hope of getting them to stop, pat robertson anyone?), just don't give them a bully pulpit to spew their hateful rhetoric.
