In the Q&A in Connecticut, after she was jeered, Ms. Coulter was asked what she would do if her child told her he was gay. She glibly responded: "I'd say, did I ever tell you you're adopted?"

Cute. Ugly. But what does this mean, really? What's the basis for the joke here?

That she and whatever stud she cajoled to mate with her couldn't biologically produce a homosexual offspring? That her Ayerian bloodline is so definitively hetero-pure, the only explanation would be that she's raised someone else's biological child? Someone who, unbeknownst to her, was gay, or carried those nasty gay genes? (Then does she support the idea that people are born gay? If so, she ought to break it to her base that it's not a choice.)

It's a lame joke I'd call tasteless if it had any real teeth. But it's either pointless or pointed.

What pisses me off is the hateful way she takes a swipe at gay people, and adoption, in one predictably nasty breath. It supports what I often take note of -- that the "culture of life," who foam at the mouth about abortion, are quite comfortable, always, drawing a distinction between blood children and adoptees.

Traditional values?

oh, Auggie,
Don't worry. Karma is, as they say, a bitch. Perhaps not as big a bitch as Mr. Coulter, but bitchy enough. There's a SPECIAL lake of fire reserved in hell for the likes of Mr. Ann Coulter, one sure to shrivel her angry inch.
(come on, like any of you think she's anything other than a sex change operation gone horribly awry)

I'd bet my gay child that she's a lesbo.

Not a lesbo. A man in woman's clothing. Seriously, she has the biggest c*ck in the entire Republican party.

She's waning in popularity, big time. It's only a matter of time before she goes the way of Morton Downey, Jr.

My advice on how to deal with Ann is the same as it is for all nasty, evil, heinous witches: someone drop a f*ckin house on the b*tch.

Does this mean she has cancer?

Deconstructing Ann Coulter is about as useful as trying to do a close textual analysis of "I am the Walrus". Except John Lennon intended for that song to be nonsensical.

From CNN.com:

Ann Coulter to audience: You're stupider than I am

STORRS, Connecticut (AP) -- Conservative columnist Ann Coulter cut short a speech at the University of Connecticut amid boos and jeers, and decided to hold a question-and-answer session instead.

"I love to engage in repartee with people who are stupider than I am," Coulter told the crowd of 2,600 Wednesday.

Before cutting off her speech after about 15 minutes, Coulter called Bill Clinton an "executive buffoon" who won the presidency only because Ross Perot took 19 percent of the vote.

Coulter's appearance prompted protests from several student groups. About 100 people rallied outside the auditorium where she spoke, saying she spread a message of intolerance.

"We encourage diverse opinion at UConn, but this is blatant hate speech," said Eric Knudsen, a 19-year-old sophomore journalism and social welfare major who heads campus group Students Against Hate.

It wasn't the first time Coulter has had trouble at a university speech. In October 2004, two men ran onstage and threw custard pies as she was giving a speech at the University of Arizona.

UConn junior Kareem Mohni, 20, said he was disgusted by his peers' reaction to Coulter.

"It really appalled me that we're not able to come together as a group and listen to a different view in a respectful environment," Mohni said.

I take her comments about gay children and adoption to mean that in her opinion the most hurtful thing a child can say to his parents is "I am Gay." And so to get even she would say what she believes to be the most hateful thing a parent can say to a child, "You are adopted!" Just one messed up way of thinking...but then again, consider the source.

PEACE.

"'It really appalled me that we're not able to come together as a group and listen to a different view in a respectful environment,' Mohni said."

Any environment occupied by Coulter is devoid of respect. Appalling is that the university paid for the c*nt's appearance.

Apparently Ann is forgetting the "Nader factor" in the 2000 election that helped things go her party's way.

Just more proof that nothing Ann Coulter says is ever clever. But I could go off for a long time about the intelligence of her audience then.
