Posted: 1/2/05 at 7:01pmOurs is not that bad, however we have our 'incidents.' Half our thespians got in some trouble and now are quitting. There is the 'popular' clique, and the 'we just love theatre so much we are going to be as conceited as possible clique.' Ah, as I said earlier, there is so much drama in drama.

Posted: 1/2/05 at 7:03pmHaving been involved in several theatre cliques in my life, all I can say is.....pretty much. Yours sounds slightly more severe, but most large groups of theatre people and overdramatic and attention-whores and such. I don't know about the fan club thing, though. Weird.

Posted: 1/2/05 at 7:05pmI am with the same 8 people every second of my life. We are inseperable. Everyone hates us and chooses to treat us with malice, and we really don't understand why. We don't gossip, we don't cause drama, we don't know. I guess they have something against really close knit groups of friends.

Posted: 1/2/05 at 8:26pmThere was a group of people in my school who were in all the choral groups and in the shows, and I became friends with them. That year, I made my stage debut lol. Within the group, there was mucho-drama, as we all basically paired off (there were 7, hence the drama). Basically, our group of friends turned into 2 different cliques, and big fights insued. Really, its a big headache lol

Posted: 1/2/05 at 8:16pmWe're pretty dramatic. A lot of people hate each other, and there's a lot of jealousy. I'm a competing top theater geek of the school, sometimes I find myself hopelessly name-dropping shows to prove my geekiness, and then I feel really petty and immature. I really hate the shy drama people...they never project and they are afraid to show any enthusiasm on stage, and then they complain about their roles. I'm one of the worst drama queens, I think. I'm a sweetheart to their faces and a bitch behind them.

Posted: 1/2/05 at 8:27pmI don't think we really have theater cliques at my school. I know that we have a fall play, but it's not taken very seriously. It's kind of a joke at my school... because the play isn't good. If anything, we have musical 'geeks', but we aren't so dramatic and we dont' go around being drama queens and saying we are going to commit suicide.

Please don't say that, it can be hard when your shy even if you love theater more than anyone else on that stage. I use to be the shy drama person in the corner(i still have prjection issues). I never complain about my roles, I'm happy to just be on stage. It drives me crazy when people complain about their roles. So you didn't get the g-d damn lead? shut up! anyone else hate people like that?
My drama clique consists of four people who are in different groups, we just get crazy around each other. But when the entire drama club is together, then the drama and crazy cliqueness starts but it's not drama drama, it's like your a whore and don't give a crap about the show so we hate you.

Posted: 1/2/05 at 9:51pmWell, I just hate the shy people who complain, which at my school, is most of them. Sorry for offending you. I'm sure you're enthusiastic about what you do though.

Sounds like typical teenage histrionics to me. You don't need to be in drama club for that stuff to happen.
