God, I hate myself sometimes. I read your subject line and my first thought was "My God, Sharon Stone? When was her first stroke?" Tragic.
Actually, I believe she did have a small stroke a couple of years ago. Perhaps I should change the subject line?
There are reports he is in critical condition.
This could totally destroy what is left of the peace process. I have not been a fan of many of Sharon's policies, but he is better than some in Israel.

They've already transferred power. He has massive bleeding in the brain, doesn't look good.
The whole thing must be so hard on the Israelis -it's so scary to have such an important political figure suddenly be incapacitated like that. I hope he recovers, but the reports make it sound very bleak.
It would be a miracle to recover from this.
Well my prayers are with his family. It'll be interesting to see how this effects the election. Ehud Omert, who is rumored to be his replacement, used to sit in front of me in Synagogue on the High Holy Days.

I just heard the latest report. His condition is described as 'very grave'. The odds are extremely slim that he could completely recover.
They then went on to say that the upcoming election will not be delayed as a result of this. Benjamin Netanyahu is mentioned as a likely leader.
