Merde for your audition. :)
I've somehow never seen this show.
I own the OBCR and revival CDs but have never been able to listen to more than "Unworthy of Your Love" and "The Ballad of Booth".
I'm hoping this highly praised production can get me over the hump.

Thanks. :)
I danced in a ballet based on a Twilight Zone story called Willoughby. It was cool. Are you familiar with the TZ episode or ballet?

I've seen it twice at two different theaters -- one really screwed up version and one brilliant version. I hope you see what I saw when I saw the brilliant version.
Boy, that sounds like a tongue twister.
Have fun!

Thanks Gav.
Fingers crossed.
I saw original Sweeney three times, original Into The Woods, original SITPWG and Bounce in Chicago. So sorry I missed the Bway revival of Assassins.

Brilliant show. If you want something to be prepared for, be prepared for gunshots... and lots. Especially from Sara Jane Moore

Definitely the smartest show I've ever seen.
Very thought provoking. It has the perfect blend of comedy and disturbing material.
If you see it with the right cast it will pretty much rock your world.

Posted: 5/27/06 at 4:40pmSaw the revival on Broadway and, sad to say, I admired it more than enjoyed it. The staging was far too static. Enjoyed some of the songs (especially "Unworthy of Your Love") and performances, though. Regardless, it deserves to be seen, if only as an antidote to the excessive Bushism of the past six years.

Don't get me wrong--it's definitely worth seeing. Go and enjoy, and let us/me know what you think.
p.s. I remember the Willoughby episode of Twilight Zone. Sister's a big TZ fan.

Damn, damn, damn - how did I manage to miss this one on Broadway?
I was enthralled this evening.
What a great ghost story.
I'm looking at the revival CD (just loaded to iPod - thanks Undi!) and it seems as if what I saw tonight was based on the revival just on a very small scale.
I really liked this production but the Broadway revival cast looks outrageous!
Yay, a new Sondheim for me to love.

well...it is a sondheim musical, and i believe that this one especially- is worth seeing. Its so different, and it gives you a great understanding on just how different musicals can be.
The music was...well..not my favorite (i just saw it last night, actually) but im going to buy the soundtrack anyway, and REALLY listen to it. I'm sure my mind will change.
I definitely recommend catching it. It opens your eyes, and has some good laughs in it as well.

Posted: 5/29/06 at 2:24amI absolutely love Assassins. I played John Hinckley last December and I had a blast. I just wish I lived closer to Chicago so I could check this production out.
