Always the best upon the first viewing. It scared the **** out of me as a kid, and I never understood it until fairly recently.
Olivier is superb! I think it was a bomb when it was released. Too dark for the masses to appreicate back then.....

I saw this a few years ago and loved it!
They were going to remake it with Reese Witherspoon but I think that's been put in turnaround.

Big Preminger fan, I really need to see this. For years all I've known about it is that my fave 60s Brit band, The Zombies were somehow involved, due to promo they did for the movie which is on their complete box set--
