Battle of the smartphones

So, I'm coming to the end of my att contract and am thinking of switching out my iphone. I actually love the phone, but att has had such crappy service, even if it is a bit better here in NYC lately.

So, should I upgrade to the iphone 4G or go for verizon and the droid X?

I love that the droid x is a mobile hotspot and the apps are now similar to iphone's.

Any input would be great...thanks!

I am sold on getting the Droid. My partner has an iPhone and it's great, but even he's pondering giving it up, switching to Verizon and getting a Droid.

I am getting my Droid in the next couple of months ... not even the rumour of Verizon getting the iPhone in January is going to make me wait.

I have the Droid X and I love it. My husband had the Iphone. He also loves his.. but the ATT service is crappy. The one thing however that is inferior in the Droid X is the camera. No matter how many megapixels it has.. it is not as good. Also... the speakerphone on the Droid is not that loud. This issue is supposively being corrected this month with a over the air update. Other than that.. it is a spectacular phone.

Yes Dame, that's my issue with att...crappy service, in NYC particularly. Calls and internet are dropped constantly. It is a bit better now. Also, since the last update, Safari has been very glitchy.

You can always try it and return it within 30 days if you don't like it.
