As she said then and as she has said many times.. that was a farewell to touring. She never said she would stop performing.

Her Farewell tour was in Fort Lauderdale about 3 times, yet, I hope she is lying, since I never went to see her, and I have desire to.
Dame, I went to see Diana Ross, my friend had an extra ticket. I don't know what you thought, but I'd see Liza anytime before seeing Ross again. I enjoyed Diana's show though. Just not on Liza's level.

Go all gay. See Bette one night. Elton the other.. and squeeze in Barry Manilow. Then be really gay and go back again to see Cher.

Many years ago when Cher got her own TV show back in the 70's(in between the two "Sonny and Cher" series), her guests for the first show were Bette Midler and Elton John. And now, they are all Vegas acts.

And don't forget "The Sonny Comedy Hour". After their break up, Cher had her own show on CBS and Sonny had his on ABC. Both shows took some of the regulars from "Sonny and Cher". "Sonny" was cancelled first, and eventually they decided to reunite and tried to do "Sonny and Cher" again but it didn't work the second time around. A lot of their success with the original show was based on the insults that they tossed back and forth but after they broke up, the insults were not funny anymore.
