According to my BMI, I'm at a completely healthy, normal weight.
According to photographs of me, I could stand to lose 10-15 pounds (which would keep me in appropriate BMI range, for the record. In fact, I could lose 24 pounds and still be in healthy range.)

Posted: 11/4/07 at 10:08pmThey're interesting... if I were five pounds lighter, my BMI would describe me as technically underweight, but there's plenty of fat on me. I feel like a body fat percentage is a little more accurate... and would probably stop me from hitting the kitchen for a third ice cream cone tonight. Actually, not even that could make me stop.

Posted: 11/4/07 at 10:33pmit a somewhat justified measure if you are of average muscle mass and bone density. on either extreme, it's not really indicative if anything.

Posted: 11/4/07 at 11:42pmI am still considered "Dangerously Underweight." Guess I should head over to the NYU Health Center...

Posted: 11/5/07 at 12:21amUmm CyCo, have you ever BEEN to the NYU medical center? I've seen more efficiency outside of Splash on Campus Thursdays.

Posted: 11/5/07 at 12:29amHah, so true. I figure I will just be "overweight" by the time they get around to filling my appointment anyway.

So I can be drunk, get fat, and still exercise a bit of "NYU" by protesting the health center all at the same time?
I might have to make a Campus Cash deposit soon...

Hahah I LOVE Campus Cash, it's the most useless but wonderful thing ever invented. I've spent far too many hours late at night in that McDonalds. It got to the point last year where the night staff knew me (and a few of my friends) by name and by regular order. Scary.
Further evidence of why BMI isn't a good measure of health! (To not completely threadjack)

according to a bmi test that I had in July, I am morbidly obese.
Total bull because if you have any muscle mass at hall you're obese. And I certainly are not obese.
