Posted: 5/25/06 at 5:03pmOMG that was heartbreaking. I immediately ran over to my sweet parrot and gave him some love. (Get your mind out of the gutter!)

I have always enjoyed KFC, but not anymore. I'm not going back.
In fact, at this moment, I am writing a letter to KFC headquarters. Hopefully, if enough people rally together, there will be a change in their routines soon.

No problem for me. The only thing I ever eat when I am forced into these fast food dumps is a specialty salad. Even then, I try not to think about how many hands touched it.
Fast food is loaded with stale grease, carbs and fat galore. It's a main reason we have so many overweight young people and older people walking around with sky high cholestrol, diabetes and large butts and guts.
KFC is garbage. Their new commercial with the layers of crap (potatoes/corn mush, fried chicken, gravy topped with cheese) is enough to put me on the Ghandi diet.
I cook for my family as much as possible or choose healthy foods when I'm not home. It's not worth poor health to eat junk on a regular basis. Good food is just as accessible and better for your body.

Posted: 5/25/06 at 5:59pmThose birds go through all that and they aren't even made into good fried chicken? Ugh! Another reason not to like KFC.

What's all this about PETA killing puppies... I'm heartbroken about this. Why do they do that??
The rest of that crap is for the birds.

While we are on the subject, boycott seafood restaurants as they put live lobsters in boiling water. We might as well go all the way
I will not mention it here but I find all this handwringing over animal rights a tad hypocritical. Anyone want to know why, PM me & I will tell you where the hypocrasy is

I don't totally understand the double standards regarding animal cruelty in this country.
This past week a malnourished horse with torn tendons in his foot was confiscated from his 70-something y/o owner and he is being brought up on charges for animal cruelty. The media outlets have made a big to-do about the plight of this poor horse.
Yet, livestock, animals on the same evolutionary plane as horses, raised on factory farms are kept in even more abhorrent conditions and yet people go on pleasantly eating their burger while pissing and moaning about this horse.
