I am so sick of these "gay" films that are trying to push the envelope and bring homosexuality into the mainstream....... How about we just make a nice romantic gay comedy about two guys who fall in love istead of making it some gay sexipade hidden by spurrs and chaps!
Have you been to Chelsea on a Friday night?

These exist.
okay yes good point....well how about one were they aren't flaming queens!!!!! I am so sik of it!
Internalize your own homophobia much?
OK here is my thing i am just sick of seeing gay guys being portayed as stupid closeted over dramatic losers and flaming queens...... i also think that showing these movies and show just add to the gay propeganda that all gays are, are closet cases and queens....
like i think Queer Eye shouldn't even be allowed on tv..... it isn't funny it is just dumb and adds to the steryotype....
i just think that if gays want to be equals we need to stop hiding behind our steryotypes
But Brokeback Mountain's leads do not represent stereotypes. That's sort of the point.

And plenty of gays do flame. I just wish the movies made about them weren't usually so poorly made.
Random aside here. I'm always amused by gay guys who profess how "masculine" they are and how they'll only date "masculine" guys turn out to be the biggest flamers of them all.
Pot, meet kettle. Thank god one of the cool things about the homosexual people is that it is ok with you being who you are.

Doesn't that actually contradict your previous sentence? I think I know what you are going for, but plenty of gays I know do have an issue with guys who aren't "straight-acting."
Remember those personal ads, pre-web: NO FATS, NO FEMS. Run by made-thin-by-the-Stillman-diet fellas who burst into tears at the opening strains of "What I Did For Love."
This film is for everyone to enjoy.

BWayBaby, go watch Mambo Italiano.
Yeah, Kringas, I guess it is a bit contradictory. A lot of gay guys only want you to be "just their type." Funny thing is, as I point out, they're often not quite the type they think they are.
Just the other night, this guy in a restaurant, so big I would have picked him in a fight over anyone else I had seen that night, queened out with hands flailing and lispy esses all over.
And I'll bet his personals profile still says "Straight acting seeks same."

One of the most sssssssibilant sssssssssingers I have ever heard possssssstssssss ocasionally on here that he can't sssssstand sssswishy guysssssssszzzsssssss.
Namo, it's totally unfair of you to make a post like this about a guy like that.
Without telling us who he is.

Next time you see me goading a certain poster on here when (s)he writes of her problems with swishy men, (I usually write something along the lines of, "You're so right Mary! Right on sister!") you'll know.

Shouldn't be hard to find, he rarely agrees with someone.
I was just about to say, if I ever found Namo agreeing with someone...
time to search "namo" and "Mary" and "right"
I'm guessing it's everyone's favorite brooding guido, Monsieur Voix-d'Anth...
Just a hunch.
