Hello all,
I've been gone for quite some time (cos I've been busier than a child prostitute), but I'm back!
I wanted to share this with everyone:

Yeah, so apparently Birmingham is too good for the apostrophe? I'm sorry, but it's part of the English language. It's like saying, "let's cut off our jugular vein!"
Oy.

I didn't realize there could be such a big debate about apostrophes.
In the whole scheme of all the problems in the world, this one just isn't on the high list.
"Through the decades, residents have frequently launched spirited campaigns to restore the missing punctuation to signs denoting such places as "St. Pauls Square" or "Acocks Green."
Am I the only person who took the words "Acocks Green" and broke it up?
A c*ck is green.
Wow. I need a life.

Posted: 2/2/09 at 3:12amApostrophes are...confusing? Really? They show possessives and contractions. How hard is that? I just can't understand this concept that people are so confused by apostrophes that having the original forms of these street signs would cause difficulty in them navigating.
