Is there an easy way to get a 30 second recording of a cassette tape to the computer?

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Maybe by recording it onto a CD? Either that or playing it into a microphone, which I doubt would work very well unless you have good recording equipment.

used to do this all the time in middle school. You need a speaker cable. It will look like a headphone cable but with two male parts and no headphones. You plug the one end into the headphone jack on the tape recorder and the other into the mic jack on the computer. Use sound recorder to convert it to .wav format.
