In my opinion, he is the Stephen King of young adult literature. Whatever he writes (wrote), turns to gold and I love them all. My favorite of his are:
The Starlight Crystal (which is also one of my fav. books from anyone)
Remember Me
I'm such a geek... I saw the title of this thread and thought of the Captain of the Starship Enterprise in the original pilot.
I used to read all of Christopher Pike's books as a teen!!

OMG, Draco, me too! That's why I clicked on it.
I'm such a geek.
I loved Christopher Pike when I was a kid. "Remember Me" and "The Witch" were my favorites.
I remembering reading some. Not really my style. I do remember this one about these kids in a hospice that told scary stories to each other, but I can't remember the name of it.
I also thought of Star Trek.

I absolutely love his books. I think my favorites that he's written are the ones titled The Last Vampire. I think there's six in the series and being the proud nerd that I am, I've read all of them and they didn't fail to keep me entertained. I think I still own a few of his books actually; I'm still a big fan.
I didn't think STAR TREK. Must not make me a geek, I guess.
orangeskittles--It is called the The Midnight Club. Such a great book!
I loved his book as a kid too. I was a big fan of the Last Vampire books. I went from those to reading to the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice.
Christopher Pike is a pseudonym; the author took that name from the STAR TREK character.
I read Christopher Pike's books as a teenager. He is definitely Stephen King for younger readers. "Remember Me" was my first, and I loved it. But my favorites of his were the Final Friends trilogy. I loved the characters and the writing!

Monster was my first Christopher Pike book when I was a teenager and it got me hooked on him.
His adult novel The Cold One is very freaky. I highly reccomend it.
