I was in the supermarket scoring some Diet Coke when I saw
Coca Cola Blak (minus the C) a new fusion drink.
What they're fusing, I don't know. Has anything tried this cocktail?

Someone I know who owns a little café told me that she just ordered some for her shop. It's cola and COFFEE! She said that they've had it in Europe for a while, and it's been a big hit. She also said that the "American version" won't be as flavorful as the European because Americans don't like their coffee as "robust." Either way, I want to try it.

I read (on MSNBC I think) the same thing - that the French version was more "coffee" and the American is more "cola". I'd definitely prefer the French version.

I think the European version sounds better to me too!

Saw this in a grocery the other day, thought about buying it, but it was $6 for a four pack. Seemed steep to me. But then I admit that I'd probably not think much of paying $1.50 for one bottle at some convenience store. Just didn't want to add another six bucks to my grocery bill that day.

What's really crazy ... I actually thought to myself, "I wonder if anyone's posted about this on BroadwayWorld.com?" lol

THIS IS AMAZING!!!

While we were posting about CC Blak, my husband was at the supermarket, so I called to ask him to buy some, but his cell phone doesn't work in any of those big stores, so he never picked up.

I heard him coming in the front door and went downstairs to greet him. I was standing in the kitchen talking to him when I espied out of the corner of my eye--and through one of those brown plastic supermarket bags--the word "blak."

He bought some! Isn't that wild?

Okay, so, I tried it, and I really like it! It would make a great after-meal drink. And as far as my being a "lush" goes...my first comment after sipping it was "It tastes like it has booze in it!"

CCB comes in small bottles. Each one has only 45 calories even though it's not "Diet Coke." You can really taste the coffee, and I LOVE coffee. I recommend it. In fact, I think some of you should go out right now and get some because I feel like the lone audeince member at a Broadway preview.

Ah, but wait. There will be MANY dissenting opinions on this board, followed by vicious verbal attacks and possibly even knife-throwing.

I hope I don't have to "defend" my opinion and "back it up" with credentials. I just like it. I don't have to have a reason, for chrissake.

Alright, after reading this, I ran out to the store to try it. At first I couldn't find it and thought it was another invented BWW scheme! But I finally found it and tried it - and I like it!

It tastes like carbonated coffee with french vanilla coffee mate in it.

It's definitely not going to be for everyone, and they were smart to put re-sealable twist tops on it. I'd be interesting to taste the European variation (more coffee less soda) Updated On: 4/9/06 at 12:14 AM
