Okay so I have a Gateway laptop that I bought a little over a year ago. In this year I have had to have the hardrive replaced and the keyboard fixed (both of which I didn't have to pay for because the computer was still under warranty). Well, now that the warranty is up, the keyboard is acting up again and I have spywear.
My issue is this; I was planning on switching over to Mac sometime in the next 6 months, but now my current pc is in need of fixing.
Should I get the pc fixed (again) or just deal with it's glitches and save up for a mac?
Thanks Computer Help/advice

Get a Mac. Definitely. I've had my ibook for a few years now and knock on wood, I've never had an issue.

The Mac, definitely. I've had three. One had a hardware problem with a worldwide component recall (it started faulting after a year) and they fixed it with no charge.

Once you become familiar with the differences in operating a Mac from a PC you'll be fine. Macs will frequently update their security and other things. Have you ever read about computers having viruses that cause all sorts of problems? That's PCs not Macs. There have historically been very few viruses infecting Macs because the system is built with much better security.

You may be able to get on a payment plan rather than save up for one.

Thanks guys, I am going to go up to the MAC store when I get my paycheck and see if I can work out a payment plan! re: Computer Help/advice
