AH!! I can not wait until tonight. Same as last week though, I will not be getting home until around 7:30pm and that is when I will be able to listen to the clips. I will try my best to get on a computer at the library around 5pm to read people's reviews and stuff like last week, but no promises. Good luck to everyone!
Yeah, I am excited for this week too. I am about to get a head start and listen to some of these clips.
I just want to let everyone know that this is "show me what you got time" so every week that goes by I am going to try and get more and more nitpicky with my reviews. The final 5 is where I expect magic. That's all. Carry on.
Tiff, I am sad to hear you are in pain
.
Personally, I think I put more energy in this song than I have in the past. I also had more fun with it, so hopefully that will come through.
So, what is everyone doing again? Tell me if I get this wrong.
1) Spidey-"Power of Love"
2) Jrb-"Go the Distance"
3) Kerrie-"You Must Love Me"
4) Kitz-"Journey to the Past"
5) Ebonic-"Joy to the World"
Kitz - "Journey to the Past"
I love that song. Are you doing the Aaliyah version or the movie version.
Movie version
Aaliyah (Rest in Peace) did an amazing job covering that song. Anyway, can't wait to hear it! "You better bahring it!"
Don't think I did, so don't hold your breath dear one
At least you didn't make my ears bleed Kitzy..
ears bleed... oh no, did you get my clip by mistake?
Seriously if there is an "ear bleed" performance in the Top 5 I am going to be royally ticked off.
OK jus tso everyone knows. I expect a lot from all of you! So when I am commenting today if it isn't amazing I will not be as nice. You are the top 5, you all gotta rock! But know that I do think everyone is amazing that is left, so go you!
Good God, this is going to get fierce. But, it is to be expected.
You all better have your gloves off at this point.. Seriously top 5 means NO excuses!!!
No Gloves? I'm so excited to read these comments tonight! If I don't have to wear gloves I may even write a few myself... but probably not.
Which means "WE don't want to hear Excuses!"
I will repeat. We don't want to hear Excuses!
We are all going to be tough, the competition is tough, little mistakes and things you "forgot to do" all matter.
Sometimes I want to write "Gloves off" comments but I am a contestant too, so I know what I do and don't want to hear . . . so, I try to be as nice as can be.
I have to admit that one of the big reasons I haven't ever commented is there have been weeks when I had nothing nice to say about certain contestants and didn't want to be mean, but also didn't want to only post comments for the people I thought did well.
Also I just don't post much. *sheepish grin*
Seeing how prolific your husband is, I don't think it's a crime that you don't post much. Can't be easy to wrangle the computer away from him
I have never been mean for the sake of being mean, and I still won't be like that. But all of the contestants NEED to hear what they don't want to hear.
Yoda, I somehow doubt any of your comments would be meaner than mine.
I've tried to find a balance between the good and the bad.. but I think a lot of the time I come off nicer than I should..
Ah the great Yoda/Penguin Computer War. It was a horrific sight, but all was resolved by the deus ex machina of a wonderful person donating a second computer. Then all was well in the apartment.
The End.
Okay this thread is not about me and my posting habits.
There should be a balance between good and bad in comments, especially since there's almost always something nice to be said. However as many have said this is the final 5 and one should have to earn a spot in the top four.
Even though it will hurt . . . I compeletey agree. Let us have it!!
Now the question is do I bow out graciously or leave in a flame of bitchiness and brimstone?
Wow, I never double post!
