Politico.com is reporting that the general mood in and around the debate venue tonight is not very McCain-friendly:

It's going to be one eeeeenteresting night.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

My husband and I will not be able to watch this in the same room. I just know we are going to get in a huge fight.

I'll be performing in Threepenny Opera tonight....it rather amazing how the past week has changed some of the audience's reactions to some of the lines.

It is a blood red state, and even at a college campus, we'll feel the love for one of their own.

But can you imagine if the shoe had been on the other foot? If Obama had put the electorate, the congress, and Ole Miss through this type of foot-stomping diva behavior? He'd be raked over the coals, and likely booed. It's the same as the Palin baby mama teen -- two sets of standards, 180 apart. McCain WAS a self-absorbed diva, and all of his country first rhetoric is just a smokescreen.

Not to mention that it would be easier to stomach if he gave the impression that he had a clue about what was going on with the economy. He knows more than his running mate, but that's not saying much.
