Good enough for Mr. Olivier, good enough for you?
Oh Christ, I need to take my arthritis meds and go to bed.
Hans Christen Andersen....such a fun movie.
He was HOT in that movie.
Wonderful in White Christmas, so I'll say "hot."
Yes, but Jeanmaire was hot too. :)

I could never understand his appeal and his face always reminded me of a phonograph needle.
On the other hand, his wife (Sylvia Fine Kaye) was extremely perceptive and witty.
Oh no you di-n't, Zoran!!
But I'm with Dollypop on this one.
Slapping Zorans wrists. Brush up your Broadway. :)
See, Zoran - you're annoying the adults.
If you ever want to see an example of really fine acting on film, get a copy of The Madwoman of Chaillot with Katharine Hepburn. His Ragpicker in the trial scene is just incredible.
I should do that.
I don't intend to annoy the adults. I really do want to learn. It is, obviously, before my time though.

Danny Kaye wowed NYC theatre audiences in 1941 with his startling verbal acrobatics. In the Kurt Weill/Ira Gershwin musical LADY IN THE DARK starring Gertrude Lawrence Danny delivered "Tschaikowski," a song whose lyrics are a list of "Roooshan composers."
A comic genius.

Another very talented person I have to admit I never cared for. Always got very bad/weird vibes from him. Others thought him hilarious, so what do I know?
Zoran, he's before my time too. It's about learning about Broadway - not about how long you personally have been around.
Just watch him in "The Court Jester". Funny, talented, good actor.
Hot.
He's hot in White Christmas, doing "Choreography."

They're doing "choreography"

Re-watch the Hans Christian Andersen movie and see if you don't get the impression that he is some kind of pedophile? What's up with that 12 year old boy that follows him around?
In the first scene of the movie: Hans is using a rag doll to tell a story about a queen to a bunch of kids. He starts a new story, and he draws a moustache on the doll, making it a king. One little girl says: "That's not a king, that's just a queen with a moustache!" He answers: "You'd be surprised how many kings are really just queens with moustaches!"
That line was clearly NOT meant for the children!
PalJoey, I love "Choreography"!
