I stopped watching after like the 3rd or 4th season. It got so ridiculous. Who's the fat girl with the ice cream?

That's what I thought. What was the reasoning for doing that? Was there nothing interesting that we could have watched in those 5 years?

I don't think they wanted to deal with Susan having an infant and they were able to add a bunch of story lines without having to actually develop them. Gabby gained two chubby kids and several pounds and got frumpy. Susan and Mike had broken up after having a nasty car accident where a child was killed. Orsen had served his jail time for hitting Mike. Bree turned herself into Martha Stewart with a cookbook empire. I am pretty sure Lynette and Tom were running a pizzeria. Their boys grew up very quickly. Twin teenagers seemed to be more interesting than twin 8 or 9 year olds. Of course, they came out of the jump being at least 16 or so.

The show blows now, but I am very happy I get my weekly Vanessa Williams bad girl fix.

Those five years are gone. Edie is dead. Lynette has another kid. She was pregnant with twins, but one died after a plane crashed into Wisteria Lane last year. (I kid you not.) There was a serial killer in the neighborhood, but Lynette got him to confess after he delivered her baby. Gabby is hot again, but still has little moral fiber. She tried to make her chubby daughter run behind the car to lose weight. Susan and Mike are back together raising their son, MJ (Maynard!) Katherine was with Mike for a while and then went batty when he chose Susan, but I think she has balanced back out now. Bree had an affair with Susan's ex-husband, but he died when the plane crashed into Wisteria Lane. lol Orson was left paralyzed and he blackmailed Bree into staying with him. He was going to tell the authorities that her son ran over Carlos' mom. There was another family in the neighborhood last season, an Italian family, but they are gone. They were in witness protection. I think that's it. lol Oh and Mrs. McCluskey got herself a boyfriend last year.

Okay, I finally caught up this morning. Is anyone still watching? Is anyone else as bothered by the current Gabrielle storyline as I am?! Gabrielle, of course, has to be the biological mother of the perfect child and the fat kid was a baby switch. Yes, I realize their other kid is chubby, too, but Juanita has to come from a fat, poor, illegal couple. I feel sorry for the little girl who plays Juanita.

I think this season has been incredible and the mid season finale was one of the best ive seen in years.

Yeah, I'm still hopelessly addicted, even through the bad episodes. The mid-season finale WAS well done, and I'm REALLY surprised that the promos for when it comes back are saying we'll find out Paul's shooter already. That would be a first for them - answering a question early rather than dragging it on through the entire season!

See, I thought the riot episode was overblown and ridiculous. I'm not sure why I still watch it, but I think part of it is that I'd watch Vanessa Williams in anything. This and Brothers and Sisters make for the most intelligence insulting two hour block on tv.
